Our primary goal is to reinforce the value of outdoor, experiential, and environmental education in the  academic, social, and emotional development of children and youth.

Our facility can accommodate up to 120 students, plus their teachers and other chapperones. Enjoy and learn indoors and outside in nature.

This is an ideal location to engage in professional learning for teachers and support staff in the domains of outdoor education, environmental stewardship, and place-based education.

Site Overview

Designed for learning.
The Field Experience Centre’s primary focus is to facilitate school groups. With 64 acres that includes 5 buildings, the site can host up to 120 students. Safety procedures for school groups have been established and will be communicated to all participants. From Calgary, it takes approximately 1hr of driving time to arrive at the camp. Most schools plan for a bus to arrive at their school as children arrive at school, leaving for the camp shortly thereafter. Most schools depart the camp 1hr and 20 minutes before busses are scheduled to depart their school at the end of the day.

Multiple schools may be on site at one time, depending on the needs of the user groups.
